Whoever wrote this blurb doesn’t seem to know much about Billith since it says ” vampires Bill and Eric ” will be going up against bloodsuckers who believe its their God given right to drain humans .Bill is one of those very suckers who believes he is the God whose given the other vampires the order to drain all humans. It’s Eric,Sookie,Pam, Tara,Nora and Jason who are up against them. Gee It would be nice if t he person w ho wrote this had done a little homework.

Yeah, it’s US Weekly. I don’t think they know how to read properly over there. Let alone write. Or comprehend what they watch. :))

It practically makes Entertainment Weekly as good as Roger Ebert Goes to the Movies.

I will never understand why these people call themselves “Pro-Life.” They are pro-fetus. The life of the mother matters to them not at all. The life of children already born they couldn’t care less about. They are “Anti-Choice.” That is their true name and true designation.
It’s not about some cutesy white baby with pink bow — an image as incongruous with reality as their message — it’s about restricting and controlling women’s bodies and lives and subjugating them to the narrow and arbitrary view of “what’s right.” It has only ever been about that.

THIS!  I swear the movement should simply be called anti-women.  It is more about slut-shaming than anything else.  Remember that disgusting bastard connected to Rick Santorum who said back in his day birth control was a woman putting two aspirin between her knees?  How come none of these forced-birther men keep their pants zipped shut?  Last time I checked getting pregnant the old fashioned way took a woman and A MAN getting horizontal.  Or does he imagine a woman walking in drunk to a sperm bank, saying, “I’ll take #222, please, *burp* “

Sorry about a bit blurry bottom gif (camera isn’t zoomed to Sookie), but she seems to be watching Pam very  intensively. Maybe really trying to understand her ?

Well from the last time Sookie visited her in Fangtasia, Pam has done a 180, where Tara is concerned. And Sookie just goes with the flow! What I am hoping to see this season is Pam letting go of the animosity. She has two reasons to do so now.

Sookie is always very careful when she spots Eric and Pam externalizing affection for each other. I don’t know if she’s a bit jealous of the special bond that Pam shares with Eric, or if she’s so attentive because she wants to know more about Eric’s world, his feelings for his progeny etc. Maybe it’s a bit of both. She did the same with Godric in 2x09, she stayed quiet with her eyes focused on Eric and almost took mentally notice of every reaction he had for his Maker. In this particular scene, Sookie knew about the rift between Eric and Pam after the necromancer fiasco - Pam even asked her to talk Eric out of his anger, earlier in the season - and I’m sure she is noticing how Eric isn’t mad at Pam anymore, and how it only took them a mutual glance to set things right - no words, no apologies, no explanations but only a stare in each other’s eyes.

I’m sure these little exchanges between Pam and Eric are helping Sookie connecting the dots about who Eric really is at his core.

I think you make a good point about how Sookie tends to watch Eric interact with those he cares about. I think it confuses her because it seems so contrary to how the persona he portrays. Even though she saw the essence of Eric when he had amnesia, I think this moment with Pam in season 5 supports all that Sookie learned about him in Season 4.

Until the ends of seasons 4 and 5, Sookie really didn’t see how Eric behaved (excepting Godric) around his vampire family.  4 was a fiasco because Eric (and Bill) was about too commit suicide to spare Sookie’s life.

This was not a good example to learn from example since neither Eric nor Pam were in their right minds.  We’re not clear whether Pam knew she was going to kill Sookie and the force field was a lucky break cushioning the blast, or Pam’s lizard brain wanted to blow the faerie up, but the frontal cortex (the breaks, the logically thinking part of the brain) knows that the sun shield would stop.

Eric is not being very smart himself.  While loyalty and self-sacrifice are a part of the Viking’s personality, going in with a blind plan isn’t.  Even if Eric committing kari-kiri, would save Sookie’s life.  Shifty Bill Compton would probably pretend to aim the gun at his own head, then vamp speed at the last second and take out Pam and Marnie.

During Eric’s tirade, he takes all his venomous ire out on Pam.  At this motion his attention is all on Sookie, not both his girls.  He is disgusted at Pam-he punches a parking meter and vows not to see her (indefinitely).

At this point Pam is in shock; her animiosity towards Sookie is tempered, she’s more angry at Eric sacrificing himself again, especially since this is not a package deal that kills Russell and saves Sookie.  To Pam he is sacrificing only himself with nothing in return.  But she does underestimate the depth of feeling her has for Sookie.  She knows that Sookie is more than just fascination for Sookie; she may even know Eric genuinely likes her for herself, but Pam cannot fathom Eric loving Sookie more than his own life.

This pragmatic worry disintegrates during the tirade in Eric’s office as Pam makes a royal mess and her ire turns to Sookie as if she is the Royal Stepmom.  Pam truly acts like the only spoiled child of a single father.  These feelings continue to the last episode of Season 5.

In the last ep of 5, Sookie gets to see Eric’s vampire family interact with Sookie and her human family(Jason).  The scene at Sooks house is best describes a squabble/bonding between in-laws

Even with all the chaos at the HQ, Pam and Eric, Pam and Tara, and Eric and Sookie find affection with each other.  I think this was the first glimpse that Sookie saw Pam as a friend and equal to Eric and not just a progeny. (we’ve seen them act like this in season 3 by themselves).

If Nora can control her fangs, Sookie needs to see Pam. Eric, Tara, Nora, and Jessica work and hang out together.  This will show Sookie how a real nest acts.  Take away Stan, Godric’s nest is a library.  Bill and the Terrible Trio is a train wreck inspired by Lorena.

Given all the events that are about to hit the fan in season 6, I, sadly, don’t think there will be a lot of time for or opportunities for Sookie to observe this family dynamic. But I am hoping they will all end up fighting on the same side, against the common enemy, and thus getting closer and more familiar. :)

Although there may not be time in season 6 to show a full blown romantic relationship Sookie already loves Eric. Her feeling for Bill got in the way of any further development of their relationship. All that is needed is for Sookie to see that the Bill she loved is forever gone and lost to her and the barrier she built in her heart that separates her from Eric is gone as well. What we have then is the beginning of a romantic relationship between S/E and I can very well see that being able to happen within 1 to 2 Epis. After all, Sookie had no problem loving two men ,she even dreamed about sharing but recognized that option was unrealistic as the two men would forever pull at her to choose one. She did not want to live torn between the two as she knew it would ultimately destroy all feelings for everyone involved and thus she severed her relationships with both. All we need is one scene in which she clearly recognizes the impossibility of Bill as he is now and a follow up scene where she acknowledges her continuing love for Eric and he for her-they embrace- they kiss lovingly but passionately and it’s done. How long would those two scenes take? A couple of minutes each. There is indeed time in 10 episodes to bring this about. Whether the writers choose to do it or not is another question. whether they do it and then pull them back part again is another question. But they can do it and it wouldn’t appear rushed in case the series ends this season. this is all I ask. Of course I’m not adverse to more…..

Me, neither. I just don’t expect it, given how packed the episodes are likely to be. But I will be pleasantly surprised if this pans out. :)

I don’t say we are “owed”, but I think we would be cheated without at least one lovemaking scene between Sookie and Whole Eric.

Well, can’t a girl dream!!  With all these promos basically saying nothing lasts forever, or even the immortals end, it sounds like this could be the Series Finale. I need Eric and Sookie as a romantic couple, fighting crime together, like Roarke and Eve, especially if its the end.
